Handcrafted runes and intentional tools, made by hand in Saskatchewan, for the daily ritual of listening to yourself.
About Us
Carved Fate began with a single rune and a quiet realization: the objects we bring into our lives should carry real meaning. Inspired by ancient symbolism and the grounding rhythm of ritual, we set out to build a brand rooted in intentional, handcrafted work.
We believe in the quiet power of things made by hand. By blending old traditions with the tools and techniques of today, we source materials with care and shape each piece with attention to its own beauty and purpose. Nothing we make is identical to the last — every detail is considered, and every piece is carved with intention.
Whether you're looking to deepen your morning reflection, bring a more grounded feeling into your home, or find a meaningful tool for your own personal journey, Carved Fate is here for that. Step into our world, explore what we're building, and carve your own path.
The Craft
Every rune set that comes out of Carved Fate starts its life as reclaimed wood — pieces rescued from garage sales, Kijiji listings, Facebook Marketplace finds, and wherever else a good piece of timber turns up. Nothing is mass-milled or ordered from a catalog; each set begins with wood that already has a history of its own before a single rune is ever carved into it.
From there, it's a slow, hands-on process: the wood is cleaned up and smoothed, the Elder Futhark symbols are carefully laid out and carved by hand, and the final piece is finished with natural oils that bring out the wood's own grain and let its character show through rather than cover it up. The result is a set that feels like it was actually made by someone, because it was.

Heritage
The runes carved into every Carved Fate piece belong to the Elder Futhark — the oldest known runic alphabet, used across Northern Europe in the centuries before the Latin alphabet took hold. They were carved into wood and stone not just as writing, but as symbols believed to carry weight of their own: for protection, for memory, for marking what mattered.
That's the tradition we're drawing from — old symbols, still legible, carried forward by hand into something you can actually hold.
